Eli C. in Lake Charles, LA asked me to draw a cartoon for him to give as a gift to his girlfriend, and include their pet cat too. He provided me with a bunch of photos of each of them (cat too!) and gave me this description to work off of:

“A bit about us to give you some ideas…we are both in college and studying music education. I play trumpet while she plays percussion (snare drum, marimba, etc.) We both weight train pretty seriously and live an active lifestyle. She also likes The Legend of Zelda.”

I suggested that I draw each of them in active wear playing their instruments, and would work in the Legend of Zelda theme as a “Triforce” shirt the cat would be wearing.
