Selena K. is a repeat customer of mine and I really enjoy doing drawings for her (you can see one of her and her boyfriend here, and one done as a gift for her friends here). This time, she asked for a drawing for her friend Sharon’s birthday. Selena (an Indian herself) told me that Sharon is really interested in all things from the Indian culture such as fabrics, tapestries, clothing and culture. The idea for this drawing would be Selena and Sharon pictured together as Indian goddesses, which are often depicted with a specific animal that is symbolic to them (for example Shiva is usually depicted with a snake). Sharon and Selena’s favorite animals are the cow and elephant respectively, so I worked them into the drawing of these two good friends.
