Alec in Northville, MI contacted me to do a drawing for his girlfriend Erica’s birthday. He wanted something really funny that is an “in-joke” between the two of them.

Here’s what Alec told me:

“Her name is Erica, and she’s great…except in the mornings when she doesn’t get her coffee. When she’s grumpy in the morning I call her Princess Erica. Without getting too over-descriptive, my thought is a quick sketch of her sitting cross legged, somewhat hunched over, and tired eyed reaching for a coffee cup. I’d really like it to be of her with her glasses on, which she only wears in the morning.”
